U.S. Rep. Terri Sewell will host a “Congress in Your Community” town hall meeting from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday in Montgomery.
State lawmakers redrew congressional district lines last year and a portion of Montgomery County is now in the 7th Congressional District represented by Sewell, D-Birmingham.
The event will be in the auditorium used by the Montgomery County Commission in the Montgomery County Courthouse Annex III, 101 South Lawrence St.
Sewell, according to a release from her office, will update residents on issues before Congress and listen to their views and concerns.
“This town hall meeting is an exciting opportunity to connect with the citizens of Montgomery County,” the Selma native said in the release.
