Gov. Robert Bentley Friday appointed Rep. Jeremy Oden, R-Eva, to the Alabama Public Service Commission, taking the seat vacated by Twinkle Andress Cavanaugh, who was elected to the presidency of the PSC on Nov. 6
In a statement, Bentley said Oden would “represent the needs of consumers in a fair and responsible manner.”
Oden has served in the Alabama House of Representatives since 1998, and currently works as CFO for Delta Discount Corporation.
Oden’s appointment will require a special election to fill his seat. Bentley said an election timeline is being finalized.
