In the days leading up to next week’s much anticipated Iron Bowl, I will take a look back at the most significant Alabama-Auburn games in the last 25 years starting with the 1989 game.
This was the first time Alabama played at Auburn. The game had mostly been played at Legion Field in Birmingham, but in 1989, the Crimson Tide made their first trip to Jordan-Hare Stadium.
Alabama was 10-0, but the 8-2 Tigers, led by Reggie Slack, stunned the No. 2 Tide, 30-20.
