Luther Page scored a game-high 16 points to lead Alabama State to a 69-58 win over Fort Valley State in the Hornets’ final exhibition game.
Stephawn Brown finished with 12 points and Bobby Brown had a double-double with 10 points and a game-high 10 rebounds.
The Hornets will begin regular season action at Middle Tennessee State at 7:45 p.m. Friday.

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – Cassie Wilcox scored the winning goal on a penalty kick to left the Eagles (7-11-1) over No. 4 William Carey in the SSAC tournament on Saturday.
Latoya Panton and Kandyce Whitehead also scored for Faulkner.
Faulkner takes on No. 2 Mobile in the tournament semifinals on Thursday at the Montgomery YMCA fields.

AUM 1
GAINESVILLE, Ga. – No. 19 Brenau scored three-straight goals to come from behind and defeat No. 23 Auburn Montgomery 3-1 in the opening round of the SSAC tournament.
Margret Albertsdottir got AUM (11-6-2) off to a quick start, scoring her team-leading 14th goal of the season in the fourth minute of the game.
AUM will now wait to see if it gets one of the at-large spots in the national tournament. The tournament qualifiers are announced Nov. 11.
WOMEN’S VOLLEYBALL
Troy 3,
Middle Tennessee 1
TROY – The Troy volleyball team overcame a first-set loss to defeat Middle Tennessee, 3-1 (18-25, 25-21, 25-21, 25-19), on Saturday night at Sartain Hall.
Troy was led by Breanna Cullity, who posted 13 kills. Kayla Pickart had 12 kills, while Blair Winston had 11.
Alexandra Alexander posted 42 assists and a match-high 15 digs.
The Trojans travel to FIU and Florida Atlantic this weekend to close the regular season.
WOMEN’S BASKETBALL
AUM 62,
Webber International 48
The AUM women’s basketball team improved to 3-0 on the season with a 62-48 win Saturday over Webber International in its final game of the Jimmy Faulkner Classic.
Senior LaKenya Drayton led all players with 17 points and 14 rebounds. Caitlin Cunningham scored 14 points off the bench.
AUM will return to action 6 p.m. Friday when it faces Evangel University in the Lee University Classic.
MEN’S SOCCER

Spring Hill 0
The AUM men’s soccer team advanced to the SSAC tournament semifinals after scoring four second-half goals en route to a 5-0 victory over Spring Hill on Saturday.
Freshman Agust Arnarson scored two second-half goals. Cesar Kestring, Sebastian Wladyko and Dagur Jonsson also scored for the Warhawks.
The Warhawks (14-3-2) will face Southern Wesleyan on Thursday at the Emory Folmar Soccer Complex.
