CHANGES: Phillip Lolley moves off the field

Hey everyone.

Assistant coach Phillip Lolley, who has been coaching Auburn’s cornerbacks for the past three seasons, has accepted an administrative position within the program. He’s been with Auburn since the 1999 season in a variety of roles.

“We appreciate Coach Lolley and the contributions he has made to the Auburn football program in his various roles over the years,” coach Gene Chizik said.

The search for Lolley’s replacement will begin immediately.

I suspect Willie Martinez, the former Oklahoma assistant and Georgia defensive coordinator, will get a serious look during the next, oh, 48 hours. He coached with Brian VanGorder at three different schools.
