THIRD STAGE: The Sandy Creek Boys sign

Atlanta Journal-Constitution

JaQuay Williams will play at Auburn.

Hey everyone.

(UPDATED @ 9:06 a.m. CDT) DT Eddie Goldman picks Florida State over Auburn and Miami.

(UPDATED @ 8:28 a.m. CDT) — Some surprises here …
WR JaQuay Williams, 6-4, 200, Tyrone, Ga./Sandy Creek
Williams committed to Auburn last summer, then saw his stock raise with a strong senior season. Everyone thought he was on the verge of a de-commitment after Gus Malzahn accepted the Arkansas State job, but Williams’ said the head-turning comments on Twitter attributed to him were fake. Georgia aggressively recruited Williams during the past two months and the dalliance went so far that Scout.com began listing him as a “soft verbal.” He struck up a friendship with Stefon Diggs during the past year and the two talked about playing at the same college. He is a consensus four-star prospect.

OL Will Adams, 6-5, 280, Tyrone, Ga./Sandy Creek
Adams was committed to Georgia Tech since the summer, but was convinced last week to make an official visit to the Plains. He was joined by teammate JaQuay Williams. Adams was woefully undersized as a sophomore, but gained weight as a junior and became a blocking force during his final high-school season. Major-conference offers were scarce until Auburn signaled interest in January. Georgia soon followed suit. Adams didn’t reveal his decision until Wednesday. He is a consensus three-star prospect.
