PRE-GAME: Arkansas State @ AU

Hey everyone. I’ll just roll with this as a free-form thing.

Gus Malzahn spent time well before the game walking quarterbacks all over the field.

• Eltoro Freeman will start at “left-side linebacker” in place of Craig Stevens.
• I looked for Jonathon Mincy before the game and couldn’t find him. Not sure if he’s with the team or not. I mean, Dakota Mosley and Ladarius Owens aren’t out there, either. I’ll need clarification on that one.
• There are a lot of recruits here. I saw Auburn commitments Sammie Coates and Reese Dismukes along with athlete Jamal Golden from Wetumpka HS and defensive end Jake Whaley from Briarwood Christian.
• Assistant head coach Trooper Taylor is sporting a brand new “G2G” towel. It’s embroidered and everything. It’s a reference to the team’s motto, which is “good to great.”
• I have a bunch of images to share with you, but Auburn’s internet/ethernet lines are overloaded right now. I’m lucky to have this text post; don’t have a prayer with pictures. Maybe later.
